We are having a busy two weeks here in first grade.

Tonight, January 31 is Open House from 6:30-8:30.  Please come by our classroom to see all the work the children have been busy with.  They are so excited to share it all with you.

Wednesday, February 1: Read In: Please bring in a bag with books to read an an extra healthy snack.  We will read in the morning and in the afternoon.

By the end of the week...Please try and send the following items to school with your child.  If you can't, sending them on Monday is fine too.  These items will help us celebrate the 100th day of first grade.
Item to make our special 100's day snack.
Collection of 100 items in a ziplock bag labeled with your child's name for various math activities.

On Monday, February 6, wear an item of clothing or something else with 100 items on it.  A cheerio necklace is what I'll be wearing.  This is an optional activity.  We will celebrate this special day with various learning activities.

Look for a note to come home soon with details about Valentine's Day.

Don't forget to enter your January reading minutes online by the end of the week or send in your reading calendar.  Please add up the total number of minutes.

I look forward to seeing you tonight at Open House.
